About the film

IN MY LIFETIME | 2 KINGS 20 : 16-19
People are thinking of themselves, of their own lifetime. They’re not thinking of their descendants, their grandchildren and great-grandchildren and what’s going to be handed off and left to them. Long as it’s okay for me, then I’m good.

ITS SABBATH REST | 2 CHRONICLES 36 : 20-21

Isaiah prophesied “if you don’t care for land, you’ll be taken into bondage.” It was like: if you don’t take care of this thing that God has given you, this promised land, this incredible place – he commanded them to give it its sabbath rest, every seven years let the land rest, so it could recover and recuperate and be restored. And they didn’t do it, and they ignored it. Now, that says to me, there’s consequences for not caring for land.

FIVE WERE WISE | MATTHEW 24 : 3-25:45

Maybe on the surface it’s about recycling aluminium cans or something. But what the biggest issue is, is when the environment goes down, the poor go down first. The church is called to participate with the Lord in this hour in very strategic and functional ways.

CREATION IS WAITING | ROMANS 8 : 18-22
Historically we call it Manifest Destiny. It was actually a spiritual attitude, believing that God had given us this nation, as Americans. It was our destiny to own it, to control it. So we killed the buffalo, we killed the beaver, we extracted all the minerals, we did everything just because we felt we had that right. It was a picture of total entitlement that’s killing this planet today.

MOCKING THE TRUTH | 2 PETER 3 : 3-7

I hear this statement over and over again, even among educated people: “It doesn’t really matter because it’s all going to burn anyway.” Most Christians have heard that at some point, people saying: “Why should we care, it’s all going to burn anyway, we’re all going to get raptured and go to Heaven, and so we’ll just leave this mess behind.” And, I don’t really think the Bible says that.
